Work with us
At Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid, we welcome individuals who are passionate about supporting the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse.
Our dedicated team of women specialise in providing culturally sensitive support primarily to women, children and young people from Asian, Black and minority ethnic communities. We support those experiencing domestic abuse, honour-based abuse, forced marriage and other forms of violence against women.
Our services include refuge accommodation, crisis support, outreach and community services as well as follow-on support to help women and families rebuild their lives safely and with confidence.
Our work is guided by an intersectional feminist approach and a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding domestic abuse and the barriers faced by minority ethnic communities.
We maintain the standards of our single-sex service provision in line with the Equality Act 2010. We value diversity and are committed to promoting equality and inclusion. We particularly encourage applications from women from all backgrounds and communities.
Our practice is also guided by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Code of Practice, ensuring high professional standards across all areas of our work.
