Outreach and crisis support
When it comes to supporting women, we recognise that one size does not fit all. Hemat Gryffe women support workers provide personalised care according to the needs of each woman. This service ensures that we can support women through all stages of their journey, not just for the short time they are in refuge. It also means we can continue to support women, if they cannot be admitted to refuge for varied reasons.
Crisis support
We respond quickly to crisis situations, with advocacy and advice. If necessary, we will signpost women to relevant services (some of which are listed below).
In an emergency we might involve emergency services to ensure the safety of women.
All signposting is at the discretion and safety of the woman and/or children and young people involved.
Outreach support
Outreach is more in-depth service compared to crisis, where we would enrol a woman to our outreach database for ongoing support. We provide emotional support as well as logistical support to help a woman leave and we support women every step of the way – joining women for appointments including legal and medical. We will also provide ongoing communication and can meet women in hard-to-reach places at a place of safety.
