Looking for support for my own relationship
If you feel unsafe or scared in your relationship, it is important to speak to someone and get support.
Sometimes it can be difficult to tell when your relationship is becoming unhealthy, toxic or abusive. An abusive relationship doesn’t always show up in physical violence. The abuse can be very subtle and involve emotional abuse, coercive control, gaslighting, bullying and manipulation. It could be so subtle that you might not notice it is happening at first.
But whether you’ve just met or have been together for a while, being in a relationship should feel safe and secure. If you are feeling anxious, not yourself, concerned more about your partner’s expectation of you, feeling unsafe or noticing red flags then it might be time to reach out for advice and support.

Staying safe online
You don’t have to be living together to be experiencing domestic abuse. Much of the abuse can happen online. Whether your partner is tracking your moves on your socials, is threatening to share intimate images, is harassing you in the DMs, has created unsolicoted AI images of you – these are all forms of abuse.
As a culturally sensitive organisation we recognise that sharing of intimate images or if your partner or abuser is making false claims against you, that these can be damaging to your reputation with you family, extended family and wider community. For some women, particularly from certain Asian communities, the misuse of AI-generated images carries unique risks, where cultural and familial expectations around modesty, privacy, and public visibility can heighten the consequences of exposure. It is important to seek urgent advice and support if this is happening to you.
Hemat Gryffe has a team of experts who will listen without judgement and will support you to make the right steps to be safe online and safe from reputational damage.
